Hello world!
I’m Stacie-a born-and-raised Texan in my 50’s, a wife, and a mom to three children and three dogs. Like many of us, I’ve walked through seasons of deep pain and trauma that shaped who I am today.
In 2025, I made the decision to begin therapy, and it changed more than I ever expected. Through talking, writing, and intentionally working through my experiences, I began to find clarity, healing, and parts of myself I thought were lost.
Turned Corners was created as a space for me to share that journey – the hard parts, the growth, and the healing in between. My hope is that by being honest about my story, others might feel less alone and encouraged to seek help, healing, and hope in their own lives.
In this blog you will find a glimpse into my daily life, my grief and health journey, discovering and dealing with PTSD, family life and how books have been my go to in my healing! Turned Corners is about finding light in the turns of life – the places where grief softens, health improves, and joy slowly returns. Through stories, reflections, and honest conversations about books, family and healing, I hope to remind others that no matter how winding the road, there’s always hope around the next corner. Because turning a corner doesn’t mean forgetting where we’ve been – it means choosing to keep moving toward light, love, and life.

Stacie, I have always loved your heart – and I’m so grateful to be able to get a deeper glimpse of it through the words you share. They resonate loudly – thank you for being willing to invite me along.
